Maps and offline mode

Change the background map with the map button to the right of the search box. Your zones stay when you switch maps.

Which map to use

• Satellite map — best for seeing field edges, greenhouses and tree rows.
• Satellite images differ in date and sharpness. If a boundary is unclear, try another map.
• Kakao / Naver maps and cadastral maps Korea only — Korean maps with parcel boundaries. Outside Korea the app uses the Google satellite map.
• Aerial by Year Pro Korea only — aerial photos by year from 2011, provided by Korea's National Geographic Information Institute. You can measure on them just like on other maps.

Esri satellite (by date)

Choose “🕘 Esri Satellite (by date)” in the map list to open Esri imagery full screen. It comes from a different provider and date, so it is handy when the Google image is old or blurry. Your zones are shown as red outlines with an area badge for each zone.

Use the bar at the top to pick older images by capture date. Only the dates when the image actually changed at your location are listed, and each date is the real capture date. Works worldwide.

• Measure just like on other maps: tap points, edit points, GPS walk/drive. You can also measure on top of an older image. Handy outside Korea instead of Google Maps.
• In the free (Lite) version it is available with Pro or after watching one ad (60 minutes).
• Other maps follow wherever you moved in the Esri view.
• If imagery cannot load (no internet or this month’s quota is used up), the app tells you and returns to the main map.

Searching for a place

Type an address and press the search (Enter) key, then tap a result. You can also type coordinates as latitude, longitude (e.g. -23.5505, -46.6333) to jump straight there.

No internet (offline mode)

When the connection drops in remote areas, the app switches to offline mode automatically. The background map is not shown, but you can keep measuring by walking with GPS and tapping points. The map comes back when the internet returns.

Compass

The compass on the left shows which way the phone is pointing (magnetic north). The map always has north up. You can hide the compass in “🎛️ Display”.
